Intro Dance: For children ages 3 and 4 (must be potty trained). We will explore the world of dance learning fundamental dance steps, rhythm and movement, incorporating fun music your child will enjoy dancing to. This introductory class will keep your tiny dancer engaged and excited about dancing! This class is offered at 2 different times throughout the week, sign up for the one that best fits your busy schedule. Instructors: Tuesdays 3:30-4:00: Cheyenne Creek & Wednesdays 4:30-5:00: Sarah DeLong. (Tuesdays 4:30-5:00: Cheyenne Creek – Overflow class). Fee: $165.
K-Combo: For Kindergarten &1st graders who haven’t decided which dance style they love yet, this class is a fun introduction to ballet, jazz and tap. Tap & ballet shoes are required. Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $175.
Beginning Jazz: For children ages 4 and 5, and have taken a year of previous dance training, your dancer will experiment with this contemporary style of dance in a fun and easy studio environment. Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $175.
Jazz 1: For dancers in 1st & 2nd grade, your young dancer will learn the basics of the American Jazz style and some hip-hop. We will focus on technique, terminology, memorization, and basic knowledge of contemporary dance. This is a fun class not to be missed! Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $225.
Jazz 2: For 3rd – 5th grade, your dancer is going to further her understanding of the American jazz style mixed with some hip-hop, with a more intense focus on increasing agility, more advanced steps, memorization skill, flexibility and sampling choreography we see in the mass media. Your dancer will have fun in this class while learning current and inspiring choreography. Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $245.
Intermediate Jazz/Hip-Hop: For 6th – 10th grade and dancers with at least 3 years of dance training, this class will focus on strengthening your dancer’s knowledge of terminology, flexibility, stamina, memorization, and overall performance. She will experiment with new and harder steps and sample choreography seen on TV. Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $285.
Advanced Jazz/Hip-Hop: For 10th – 12th grade and at least 4 years of dance training, your advanced dancer will work on perfecting her abilities, increase stamina, memorization and performance level. With the addition of hip-hop, we will be sampling professional choreography similar to the styles you are seeing today. This class will push your dancer to not only improve, but to also have fun while dancing. Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $335.
Intermediate Lyrical: For 6th – 9th grade and at least 3 years of dance training, we will explore the artistic and expressive side of dance through this Lyrical class. We will focus on performance, technique, musicality and use of emotion, incorporating floor work and longer and more complicated dance combinations. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $285.
Advanced Lyrical: For 10th – 12th grade and at least 4 years of training, your advanced dancer will explore the artistic and expressive side of dance through this Lyrical class. We will focus on performance, technique, musicality and use of emotion, incorporating floor work and longer and more complicated dance combinations. This class is suggested for all high school aged ballet and jazz/hip-hop students. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $335.
Beginning Tap: For children ages 4 and 5 and have taken a year of previous dance training, we will explore the world of tap dancing! Your dancer will learn the basics of beginning tap movement, terminology and rhythm. Instructor: Cheyenne Creek. Fee: $175.
Tap 1: For 1st & 2nd grade, we will focus on covering more basics of tap dance. Students will work on improving their technique, rhythm, musicality and performance using popular and classic tap music! Instructor: April Christensen Fee: $225.
Tap 2: For 3rd – 5th grade, this is a continuation from Tap 1, adding more advanced steps. Students will work on improving their technique, rhythm, musicality and performance using popular and fun tap music! Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $245.
Intermediate / Advanced Tap: For 6th – 12th grade, your tapper will continue her knowledge of tap, improving her technique and adding technically harder dance combinations. Students will also work on improving rhythm, musicality and performance with popular and classic tap music. Instructor: April Christensen. Fee: $310.
Beginning Ballet: For children ages 4 and 5 and with at least 1 year of dance training, your dancer will experiment with the traditional English method (commonly known as The Royal Academy of Dance, or RAD) of classical ballet. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $175.
Ballet 1: For 1st & 2nd grade, we will focus on covering more basics of classical ballet. Students will work on improving their technique, rhythm, musicality and performance. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $225.
Ballet 2: For 3rd – 5th grade 5, your dancer will further explore the art of classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. We will continue work on basic ballet terminology, memorization, technique, performance, flexibility and endurance. Your ballerina will learn how to dance safely, gracefully, and with enthusiasm. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $245.
Intermediate Ballet: For 6th – 10th grade, your dancer will further her knowledge of classical ballet, working on improving technique, musicality, flexibility and artistry. This class is for the more disciplined dancer. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $285.
Advanced Ballet & Pointe: For 10th – 12th grade and placement by Heather, this advanced class is for the serious ballet student with at least 5 years of ballet training. This class will focus on classical and contemporary ballet while working on technique, stamina, flexibility, musicality & performance. Black leotard, black ballet skirt, light pink tights and pink ballet shoes are required. Student must be granted permission to wear pointe shoes and must be properly fitted with pointe shoes prior to the first class. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $360.
Musical Theatre Dance: For 6th – 12th grade, your performer will take his or her skills to the maximum in this dance class. This class is intended for students with an interest in pursuing musical theatre on a professional level. We will combine dance and acting from popular musicals and also work on improving technique, musicality, performance, stamina, partnering, high level combinations and improving overall stage presence. Instructor: Heather Doré Johnson. Fee: $285.
